HALF DAY SIGHTSEEING TOUR OF BODRUM

Throughout the history, the former Halicarnassus, later Bodrum; has been a paradise jealously guarded and fought for. No matter how many times and for what purpose you may go to Bodrum, you will still discover some entertainment that will please you. From diving, surfing, sailing, parachuting, water skiing to ancient monuments. Our first visit will be the Bodrum Castle. The Knight of St. Jean of Rhodes built the Bodrum castle in the 15th century. The castle also houses Underwater Archeological Museum. It is one of the most important and biggest museums of its kind. There are finds from the shipwrecks near Bodrum and an East Mediterranean amphora collection in the museum. Our next stop will be the Mausoleum. It is named after the Carian King Mausolos who was buried here. It was built in 353 BC. This was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World, was ruined because of the great Anatolian earthquake. Our final stop will be the Antique Theater built in the Hellenistic ear rests into the slop of the hill. Free time for shopping in the afternoon.
