Let me tell you a little about Levent

Levent Solmaz has literally traveled the world and has lived for extended periods of time outside Turkey, so he knows about other customs and cultures. But Turkey is his home and he wants to share it with you.

Levent speaks and understands the English language like a native speaker. He was born and raised in Izmir (Smyrna), Turkey and studied at Fatih College High School in both German and English. He continued his study of English for five years in England before earning a Bachelors of Arts (1983) in Business and Music from the University of Miami, Florida.

Levent has been a licensed tour guide since 1988 (license no.35/0647) and has been a member of the Izmir Tour Guide Association since 1991.

He genuinely enjoys getting to know his guests and helping them to get to know Turkey better. Levent believes that people are the world's most important asset and we all need to learn more about each other so we can genuinely understand this world we live in.

Levent's speciality is guiding people who only have a few days to explore Istanbul, Cappadocia or the Aegean. I hope that I can help you better understand the rich culture, people and sites of Turkey's past, present and future.
